Letter to the Editor | Republicans plan to cut key programs

We know that early next year, the Trump Administration and Republican leaders in Congress will push to pass a major tax bill. They may use the tax bill to cut key programs, including SNAP and Medicaid.

I believe that as a nation we should pursue opportunities like expanding the Child Tax Credit (CTC) and EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit) or passing the End TB Now Act, and also oppose harmful cuts and changes to programs that help millions make ends meet. It has never been more important to stay informed and contact your elected officials when you have something to say.
