Evah Marlene Demarcus

E. Marlene Nichols Pierson DeMarcus

Evah Marlene DeMarcus, maiden name Nichols, died November 28, 2023, in Confluence Hospital, Wenatchee, WA. She was 69 years of age.

Marlene was born September 16, 1954, in Colville, WA and grew up in Ephrata, WA, where she graduated from high school and then went on to nursing school, obtaining her nursing degree (LPN). She loved nursing and stayed in the same practice in Tacoma, WA, for 28 years.

Her first husband, Drew Pierson, was tragically killed in 1982 in a car accident along with their daughter Maria and unborn child Erin. Marlene was the sole survivor.

She later married Keith DeMarcus who unfortunately passed away prematurely, leaving behind their two adopted sons, Ryan and Jesse.

In April of 2000, Marlene married Hans Kueck who brought to the marriage his two sons, Nathan and Shawn. The family lived on Raft Island, Gig Harbor, WA until moving to Orlando, FL, after retiring in 2019, returning to Ephrata in October of this year.

Marlene is survived by her husband, her 4 sons and 10 grandchildren as well as her sister Linda (Jim) Baker and brother Dennis (Grace) Nichols. She truly loves Jesus with all her heart, and we will be delighted to be with her again someday in Heaven.

A family service will take place in July 2024, at the family homestead in Wauconda, WA.
