Woman arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault after collision near Gig Harbor
A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault after her 3-year-old son was ejected from a vehicle in a collision on East Bay Drive late Sunday night, according to a Pierce County Sheriff’s Office report.
The woman told deputies she was returning home from a Super Bowl party and didn’t remember how the crash occurred. A deputy investigating the collision observed signs of impairment while speaking with the driver, according to the report.
Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One took the 3-year-old boy to the hospital with what the sheriff’s office called life-threatening injuries.
