Shots fired at siblings driving on 38th Avenue
A 17-year-old woman and her 23-year-old brother told police they had been shot at while driving on 38th Avenue in Gig Harbor at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 6.
Nobody was injured in the incident, which took place on 38th between Hunt and 56th streets.
Interviews with the victims and witnesses lead Gig Harbor Police Department investigators to conclude that “this was a targeted attack likely related to an ongoing issue with another group of people from out of the area,” according to information posted on social media by the police department.
Police collected evidence for analysis at the Washington State Crime Lab. Anyone with information can call 253-851-2236 and ask to give a tip about case No. 23-157-02597. People providing information may remain anonymous.
