Deputies arrest suspect who shot at neighbor in Purdy
Pierce County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man in Purdy early Tuesday morning, Nov. 7, after he allegedly fired a gun at a neighbor.
Nobody was injured in the incident, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Sgt. Darren Moss.
The incident occurred on the 14400 block of 62nd Ave. NW, near Peninsula High School. The victim reported the incident at 2:25 a.m., after driving to the sheriff’s department’s precinct office a few miles away.
Moss said the suspect refused to come out of the building after deputies arrived, so a department SWAT team responded. Deputies arrested the suspect around 7 a.m. after using gas munitions to entice him to surrender.
As of 1 p.m., deputies were still on the scene on 62nd Avenue.
