Rainier, which opened a Gig Harbor office last year, cannot provide patient services until the charges are resolved. The provider has 28 days to respond to the dispute and ask for a hearing.
The Department of Health alleges that Rainier employed counselors who lacked required education to provide the services for which they were licensed. DOH also accuses Rainier of failing to accurately report clinical assessments and progress of patients, including those undergoing court-ordered treatment.
In a phone call, Rainier CEO Jeremiah Dunlap said the allegations were “all unfounded,” but declined to comment further.
Rainier has locations in Gig Harbor, Lakewood and Puyallup offering outpatient substance use disorder counseling, medication assisted treatment, and other programs. The Gig Harbor office is at 3214 50th Street Ct. Suite 305.
