Gig Harbor students earn college degrees, academic honors

College graduates
Hannah Park of Gig Harbor earned a bachelor degree in music from the University of Alabama during its spring commencement ceremonies on May 6-8.
Nicklas Yockey, of Gig Harbor, earned a bachelor of arts degree in marketing from Wisconsin Lutheran College in May. Wisconsin Lutheran College is a private Christian college grounded in the liberal arts and located on the border of Milwaukee and Wauwatosa.
Sam Caro of Gig Harbor earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colorado College in June. Colorado College is a liberal arts college in Colorado Springs.
Keir Adamson and Finlay Adamson of Gig Harbor earned bachelor’s degrees from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., in June.
Keir Adamson, a public policy major, graduated cum laude with departmental honors in public policy. Finlay Adamson, a world politics major, graduated magna cum laude and was recently elected to the Epsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
Halee Bruner and Baily Paul of Gig Harbor earned bachelor’s degrees from Linfield University in McMinnville, Oregon, in July.
Bruner graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education. Paul graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science in sport management.
Brynna Maxwell, Zachary Paul and Kristen King, all of Gig Harbor, earned bachelor’s degrees from the University of Utah in July.
Maxwell earned a bachelor of science degree in communication with an emphasis in journalism. Paul earned a bachelor of science degree in operations and supply chain. King earned a bachelor of science degree in sociology.
Academic honors
Axel Stordahl of Gig Harbor was named to the College of Charleston (South Carolina) Spring 2022 President’s List. Stordahl is majoring in commercial real estate finance and finance. To qualify for the honor students must earn a GPA of 3.8 or higher and complete a minimum of 14 semester hours.
JP Gilbert of Gig Harbor was named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2022 semester at Wheaton College of Illinois. To qualify for the honor students must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
The following Gig Harbor-area students were named to the Dean’s List at the University of Utah for the spring term. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 graded credit hours.

Burke Griffin of Gig Harbor was named to the University of New Hampshire’s Dean’s List for the Spring 2022 semester. Griffin is majoring in business administration: finance. To qualify for the honor, students achieve a grade point average of at least 3.5 while taking at least 12 graded credits.
Finlay Adamson and Keir Adamson of Gig Harbor were named to the Dean’s List at Hamilton College of Clinton, N.Y., for the spring 2022 semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have carried throughout the semester a course load of four or more graded credits with an average of 3.5 or above.
Josie Ciaciuch of Gig Harbor was named to the Dean’s List at Linfield University in McMinnville, Oregon, for the spring 2022 semester. Ciaciuch is pursuing a degree in psychology. Students qualify for the honor by earning a GPA of at least 3.65.
Catherine Ryan of Gig Harbor was named to the Dean’s List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the Spring 2022 semester. Ryan is in the biotechnology and molecular bioscience program. Students qualify by earning a GPA of at least 3.4 while taking at least 12 credit hours.
