Firefighters aid driver after car plunges into water in Olalla
Firefighters from departments in Gig Harbor and across Kitsap County responded to Olalla Bay Market late Sunday for a report of a vehicle over a cliff. The vehicle landed in water, triggering a massive emergency response.
The sole occupant of the car managed to get out of the vehicle without help. Firefighters took the person to an area hospital, according to South Kitsap Fire & Rescue via Twitter.
Crews were dispatched from all county agencies as well as Gig Harbor.
The lone occupant was able to remove themself from the vehicle and our crews were able to bring the patient to an awaiting ambulance for transport.

Emergency responders were dispatched at about 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, to the store in Olalla. The vehicle reportedly rolled down a 100-foot slope, but landed on its wheels, partially submerged.
Responders from Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One, the U.S. Navy, the Coast Guard and many other agencies helped out.
No information was available about the nature of the driver’s injuries.
