Photo Gallery | Summer Art Festival

Posted on July 20th, 2024 By: Carolyn Bick

Braving the beating sun, people flocked to Sehmel Homestead Park, where the Peninsula Art League (PAL) held the first day of its two-day 38th annual art festival on Saturday, July 20.

Artists came from as far away as Duvall and Mount Vernon to take part in the festival and sell their wares, against the backdrop of both live and DJ-ed music. PAL members also gave art demonstrations, while parents brought their children to the playground area, where they could burn off some energy, as their parents took a (much-needed) breather.

Festival attendee Lisa, reflected center, checks out the offerings at the booth of Wanderling Creations artist Hailey Starr, left.

The festival continues on Sunday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Proceeds from the festival help to support $12,000 in scholarships for art students, as well as scholarships for PAL members looking to further their art education, and funding for other art shows, workshops, and different educational programs.
