Harbor Happenings | Take a peak under the sea on the last day of winter
Celebrate the end of winter at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, when Harbor WildWatch hosts Pier into the Night at the 7Seas Brewery dock.
Arts & Entertainment Sponsor
Arts & Entertainment stories are made possible in part by the Gig Harbor Film Festival, a proud sponsor of Gig Harbor Now.
WildWatch divers will livestream what they’re seeing beneath the pier to the audience on it. The audience watches the livestream on a big screen on the dock as biologists talk about what’s being shown.
Recent dives have found feather-duster tube worms, sculpin and gunnels, nudibranch, several varieties of crabs and even a giant Pacific octopus. It’s always different and always a fun, educational experience. It’s free and family-friendly. Reservations are not required, but donations are always appreciated. 7Seas is located at 2905 Harborview Drive.
