Posted on August 1st, 2023 By:

The Cruise the Narrows car show returns to the Uptown shopping center from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5.

Organizers anticipate that as many as 300 automobiles will be on display this year, including a rare 1966 Ford GT-40, an Austin Healy and a McLaren. The Datsun club and the MG club also plan to attend, according to Renee Crist, one of the event’s founders.

This is the 25th anniversary of the show, sponsored by the Gig Harbor Cruisers Automotive Club. Proceeds from sponsorships and show entries fund scholarships for local students who want to go into the automotive trades. Over the past 25 years, more than $120,000 in scholarships have been awarded. Admission is free.

The Cruise the Narrows car show is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5.
