Man arrested on suspicion of murder at Fox Island home
Pierce County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of second degree murder on Fox Island on Sunday, April 20.
The sheriff’s office posted about the arrest on Twitter late on Sunday. Details about the crime were not immediately available Monday morning.
According the social media post, a man called 911 around 5:30 a.m. Sunday to report that his girlfriend had died by suicide on the 800 block of Fox Drive. Deputies found a 27-year-old woman dead at the home.
“After a lengthy investigation, detectives and forensics found evidence that was not consistent with a suicide,” Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Carly Cappetto said in the post.

Adam Faber, a spokesman for the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, said the investigation continued on Monday. The suspect likely won’t be charged until Tuesday, April 22, at the earliest.
