The Gig Harbor protest was one of hundreds across the country on Saturday. Local organizers from Indivisible Gig Harbor and other organizations called it the largest political protest in Gig Harbor history.
Protesters started lining the streets well ahead of the 1 p.m. scheduled start time. Estimating the number of people in the crowd was difficult, but at least 1,000 people are believed to have participated. Some on social media estimated the crowd at 2,000 or more.
One person walking through the crowd estimated its size at 30,000 — calling it “Trump math.”
