Orcas drop by to witness Polar Bear Plunge

The usual big crowd showed up in Olalla on New Year’s Day for the annual Polar Bear Plunge. But four orcas who watched from Colvos Passage stole the show.

The four transient orcas traversed Colvos Passage as many in the crowd that gathers annually at Olalla Bay Market turned their attention from the plungers to the whales.
