The Gig Harbor City Council needs your help.

As you are aware, Tracie Markley resigned her position as Gig Harbor Mayor. Council member Mary Barber was appointed to serve out Tracie’s term as Mayor.

This means that Mary Barber’s term on the city council must be filled. You are needed to apply.

The appointment for council member’s Barber’s seat is for 1 year, through 2025. This seat is up for election in 2025 with filing deadline the second week of May. Whomever is appointed can either serve to the end of 2025 and/or file to be elected to this seat.

I know you love our hometown and I know there is someone out there who would be perfect to be appointed to this seat.

In 2025 there are BIG decisions to make on what you want Gig Harbor to look like in 20 years. Your voice is vital.

To sit on the Gig Harbor City Council you must have lived within the Gig Harbor city limits for 1 year. We have Monday council meetings at 5:30pm on the 2 and 4th Mondays and study sessions on the 2 and 4th Thursday afternoon.

This is your opportunity to help make decisions for our city and citizens.
